Street Corner Ministry February 19, 2022

What an amazing day we had! God continues to blow us away with what he is willing to do when we simply show up. 

Our consistency is paying off as we are seeing neighbors come by on a regular basis as well as many new faces; after this week Tim and I agree- these Saturdays are beginning to feel more-like community building! We even had games for the kids - remind me to bring my cornhole boards.

Of course the purpose was achieved and we saw God move by:

• Providing the max amount of laundry we could have cleaned in the the time we were there - we could have used another truck!
• A neighbor who had come for a shower and laundry (and of course the food) for the past few weeks travelled from Beatties Ford Rd by bus and walking to let us know that he was able to MOVE INTO AN APARTMENT!! We celebrated and congratulated him on this incredible blessing.
• The mom we've been telling you about brought all the kids this time around and I even got to play a game with her youngest. The older kids insisted on helping us serve and they took ownership of the supplies table most of the day as well as helped with clean up - amazing kids!
• More of you who have made MMOG what it is came out to help and we rejoiced to see your faces.

The word that has come to represent these Saturdays to me is "refreshing"; Proverbs states that "he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." May God continue to allow us to do the work of loving his most precious.
